Since 2019, the RMS has organised an essay competition aimed at S4-S6 students. Students will be asked to write an essay of no more than 800 words on a question. For essays we are looking for: a well constructed argument; good spelling, punctuation and grammar; novelty of ideas; a balanced argument; and a well evidenced/researched argument. Whilst we do not expect applicants to know how to reference, we do expect an effective point, evidence, analysis structure. If you want to be notified of the next competition date, contact us here.
